Tallahassee, FL - The North Florida Hoopfest returned to Tallahassee for the second straight year. Several teams in and around the Big Bend came out to compete on July 4th weekend.
In the 9th-10th grade age group, the TAB Spurs outlasted the Wakulla Wolf Pack in double overtime 46-45 to win the tournament championship. Kendall Collins had a team-high 15 for the Spurs.
The eighth grade age bracket championship game featured the Georgia Renegades from Donalsonville and the Pensacola Hornets. The Renegaes won 62-49 behind JaMichael Pearson's 17 points.
