Days after being picked in the Major League Baseball Draft, Rickards High's Mallex Smith is faced with a tough decision. He can either turn pro or go to college.
"It's mixed emotions," he said. "It's 'I want to go play the sport that I love and get paid to do it.'"
The Milwaukee Brewers selected the centerfielder in the 13th round with the 401st pick.
Smith tells WCTV that he's in the process of negotiating with the club. If that doesn't work out, he will likely attend Santa Fe College with hopes of being drafted at a higher position next year.
