Valdosta, GA -- In preseason camp the 'Cats have made their goals clear.

"We're looking to go to the Dome this year. I want a ring," says senior fullback Jarvis Roberts.

To get there they'll need to replace eight starters on offense and five on defense that helped lead Valdosta to an (11-2) record last season.

"We can replace those guys if we learn to execute and certainly we have some guys this year that put some pop in our offense and we're excited about them," adds head coach Rance Gillespie. "They just need to get out and get some reps."

Roberts adds, "To me I say it's better than last year. I saw that we're going to be better than last year because everything is in a fast pace and that we're going, I feel like we're going to the Dome and win it all."

Two win separated Valdosta from a trip to the title game last year. Even though their season ended in the quarterfinals, it gave Valdosta an advantage heading into this season.

Gillespie adds, "We got three extra weeks of reps last year so certainly that's a lot of help for us. Being in this system and kids understanding our practice schedule and kids understanding our offense, understanding our defense, certainly that's a big advantage starting off this year."

It begins August 26th against Brooks County
