Tallahassee, FL - North Florida Christian senior running back Johnathan Vickers sat in the WCTV studio on Friday afternoon and announced he has committed to play football for Florida State in 2014.
Despite being sidelined with a broken leg his entire junior year, he had at least 20 major Division-I offers and whittled it down to a top 7 a little more than a month ago. He chose FSU over Georgia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, South Florida, Ole Miss and Louisville.
Vickers joins two others from the class of 2014 in our area to commit to the Seminoles. Godby's Jacob Pugh and Stephen Gabbard have also committed to the garnet and gold.
