Thomasville, GA - Zach Walters never saw it coming. His last play on the football field for his senior year came without him ever knowing.

The Walters family came to Thomasville four years ago for a better life.

"It was a quaint downtown area and the countryside is beautiful. Everywhere we go there's just something new to look at."

"It was a quaint downtown area and the countryside is beautiful," said Sheri Walters, Zach's mother. "Everywhere we go there's just something new to look at."

At 6'4", 260 pounds, Zach was destined for the Friday Night Lights.

"I can remember the first time the coaches saw him walk on the campus down there, walk on the schoolyard," said Tony Walters, Zach's father. "They were like 'oh, we gotta have this kid.'"

But Zach's season ended one week before the season opener.

"I went to stretch back in my chair just to stretch and that's when the seizure started," Zach said.

Nice story. The community prayed for Zack and his family. The boys at TCCHS also shaved their heads for Zack. (not just the football players) So thankful for answered prayers.
