Valdosta, GA - Holly Satterfield only pitched one game last week, but her seven inning was enough to win her sixth Gulf South Conference East Division Pitcher of the Week Award of the season. The award marks the ninth of her career.
Satterfield only needed seven innings to cement her third consecutive Pitcher of the Week Award. She only gave up three hits and one walk while striking out five batters in a complete game shutout of North Alabama Friday.
The shutout marks the 30th shutout of Satterfield’s career, tying her for the most all-time shutouts in a career at Valdosta State.
Satterfield and company are aiming for the Valdosta State’s third consecutive Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship this weekend in Southaven, Miss. The Blazers will start the tournament at 12 p.m. against Ouachita Baptist.
