Conservation Organizations Team Up For Quail

Posted: 9:53 PM - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) at its meeting today near Tallahassee announced a partnership with three other conservation organizations to help the northern bobwhite (quail) and youth shooting programs in Florida and Georgia.

FWC Makes Changes For Deer-Hunting In NW Florida

Posted: 11:46 AM - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), at its meeting at the Florida Public Safety Institute near Tallahassee today, passed changes that divide the state’s Hunting Zone D (from Pensacola to Tallahassee) into two deer management units (DMUs), each with a unique set of antler-point requirements and antlerless deer harvest days.

Gulf Recreational Red Snapper Season Set

Posted: 04/16/2014 - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) set the Gulf recreational red snapper season in state waters April 16 at a meeting near Tallahassee. The season will be a total of 52 days in 2014 and will start the Saturday before Memorial Day (May 24 this year) and remain open through July 14, closing July 15.

FWC To Meet In April Near Tallahassee

Updated: 04/08/2014 - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will meet April 15-17 at the Florida Public Safety Institute, 85 Academy Drive, Havana. The Institute is west of the city of Midway on U.S. 90. Full-day business sessions Wednesday and Thursday start at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday’s half-day discussions session starts at 1 p.m.
