Kids learn how to protect Florida's natural resources today 4/7 at the State Capitol.
The Florida and Fish Conservation Commission worked to create "the next generation that cares."
the event included a saltwater touch tank, a chance to become a bear and even see a live baby alligator.
The FWC want to provide more opportunities for young people to participate in outdoor activities.
The FWC event coordinator says, "It's really healthy for the youth to be outside, be active and be involved in the outdoors. It's also good for the future of Florida."
Kids also got to see different police cars and a K-9 team show demonstrations.
