Florida State was picked to finish second in the Atlantic Division and earned the second most votes to win the Atlantic Coast Conference, according to a preseason poll of 191 media members in attendance at last week’s 2016 ACC Football Kickoff in Charlotte.
The Atlantic Coast Conference finally is getting its own TV channel.
Lydia Gumm, a rising senior member of the Florida State University women’s golf team, won the Women's Kentucky Open Championship at the Heritage Hill Golf Club in Shepherdsville, Ky. Gumm shot scores of 67-69 for a 136 total and defeated Laura Restrepo of the University of Louisville in a one-hole playoff to win the championship.
