NFL Draft Day 3: Johnson To Cleveland, White To Dallas

The pipeline of Florida State defensive backs to the NFL is still strong.

Scoring in four of the six innings they were at the plate, the Seminoles continued their undefeated run in ACC play as No. 2 Florida State (46-3-1, 23-0 ACC) earned an 8-1 victory over North Carolina (36-17, 14-8 ACC) at JoAnne Graf Field on Saturday afternoon.

Strong starting pitching from Ryan Anderson and Aubrey McCarty led Florida A&M (23-18) to a doubleheader sweep over Jackson State (31-14-1) on Saturday afternoon at Moore-Kittles Field. Anderson (3-2) allowed just two runs and scattered six hits across 7.2 innings to pick up the win in Game 1, while McCarty (5-3) added a 7.0 inning, complete game effort, allowing just one earned run on five hits to pick up the win in Game 2.

Florida State (27-17, 11-11 ACC) managed just two hits against No. 14 Virginia, dropping the second game of the series 8-0 Saturday afternoon on Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium.

Florida State (26-16) beat Stetson (18-25) for the second time in a week after the Seminoles topped the Hatters 11-5 Tuesday evening at Melching Field in front of 1,798 fans.
