Garin Flowers joined the Eyewitness News Team in October 2011 as a general assignment reporter.

He received his master’s degree in August 2011 from the Medill School of Journalism, with a concentration in broadcast news and media management.

Garin spent his undergraduate years at the University of South Florida in Tampa, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications in 2009. In his last semester, he was accepted to participate in NYU’s Journalism in Ghana program. He traveled to the West African nation to report on poverty, politics and culture.

In his spare time, Garin enjoys critiquing movies, reading, listening to music and watching news that makes a difference.
