I was born and raised in the suburban Chicago area. Including college, Florida is now the 8th state where I’ve lived.

My television career started at a station in southern Illinois. Other stops include Mississippi, the U.S. territory of Guam, Chicago, Nashville and Louisville.

I have a bachelor’s degree in politics from Wake Forest and belong to the Deacon Club, boosters for the athletic program.

I also have a master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University. In between undergraduate and graduate schools, I also worked on Capitol Hill, mostly for the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee. I’m a rabid sports fan who’s hopelessly, passionately and unconditionally in love with the Chicago National League Ball Club…In addition to the Cubs, I love the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, Deacs and Hoosiers.

I like to ride my bike, rollerblade, swim, play tennis and attend sporting events.

I’ve been married to my wife Sarah since 2005. The joy of our lives, our son Gordon, was born in 2007.

We also have a dog, Sammy.
