Bailey Myers is a Florida girl through and through.
Raised in the small town of DeBary, just north of Orlando, she learned that everyone has a story to tell, regardless of where they live. With a passion for storytelling, Bailey became a member of the Gator Nation enrolling in the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications.
Working behind the scenes at WUFT-TV, she learned the methods behind television production. Soon she was reporting for WUFT-FM, the local NPR broadcasting station, bringing the latest news to the people of North Central Florida.
From radio to television, she compelled audiences to listen and learn about the struggles, pain and triumphs that define the community of North Central Florida.
During her final year at UF, she balanced senior-level courses with working as a “one man band” reporter for the ABC affiliate WCJB in Gainesville. During her time there at WCJB she gave a voice to those often considered voiceless.
She joined WCTV in May of 2013 as a multi-media journalist, and hopes to tell the stories of those in the Big Bend area. If you have a story you want to tell please email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
