Alicia Turner is a native of Tallahassee and is happy to still be close to home. Alicia reveals that the best part of working at WCTV is learning from people she has watched growing up.
Alicia graduated with high honors from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in May of 2014 with a degree in broadcast journalism. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalist and Kappa Tau Alpha National Journalism Society.
While studying at FAMU, Alicia anchored the daily newscasts, that were broadcast live to 80,000 homes in the area. Alicia was also a general assignments reporter for the award winning student run news paper, The FAMUan. Prior to graduation Alicia interned at WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa.
In her spare time Alicia enjoys watching cheerleading competitions, baking, shopping and spending time with her family.
Alicia joined the Eyewitness News Team in May of 2014 and looks forward to becoming the next "Hometown Hero" for WCTV.
