Triston Sanders is News Director of WCTV. Having worked at Eyewitness News as Executive Producer, Anchor and Reporter, Triston knows all facets of the newsroom.

Triston's television background is extensive. She has worked as a producer at WSVN in Miami, WFLA in Tampa and WPBF in West Palm Beach. She also worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WWSB in Sarasota before making the move to WINK-TV where she anchored the morning and noon news for several years.

Under Triston’s leadership at WCTV, Eyewitness News swept the Florida Associated Press Broadcaster awards in the small television market category in 2011. WCTV won 17 awards one of which went to Triston as a finalist in the state of Florida for Best Series Reporting. She was named "Broadcaster of the Year" in 2002 by NAMI. In 2000, FAPB awarded her the best in her category in the state for "Individual Achievement."

You'll see Triston in the community donating her time to many causes near and dear to her heart: homeless animals, cancer, Alzheimer's Disease and many, many others. She serves on numerous committees including the Chamber Communications Committee, Leon’s MAPP (Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships) Committee, Leon County’s School Health Advisory Committee, Capital Regional Medical Center’s Spirit of Women Advisory Council, among others.

Her segment, "Health Matters," airs during the Good Morning Show and informs viewers about the importance of good health and sheds light on the latest medical advancements.

Triston was born in Asheville, North Carolina and lived in Johnson City, Tennessee until her family moved to Orlando when she was ten years old. Triston graduated from Florida State University. While in school at FSU, she interned at CNN in Atlanta and WCTV.

From 2003-2010, Triston taught at Florida State University in the College of Communication. Today, Triston still devotes much of her energy to helping future generations of journalists. Many of her former students now work alongside her at WCTV. She believes in using her many experiences to help pave the way for aspiring anchors, reporters and producers.
