About Animal Shelter Foundation
ASF works hand-in-hand with the Shelter to provide veterinary care beyond the Shelter’s resources or abilities to rescue animals in need, to aggressively promote spay and neuter, and to encourage responsible pet ownership.
Each year the Animal Shelter takes in almost 9,000 animals that are homeless, but due to the overabundance of animals and lack of open households, some of these animals will never see a home. One-hundred percent of the funds raised at this event will go directly to ASF.

The Pyramid Players present "The Great Diamond Caper"

The Moon, 1105 E. Lafayette Street, Tallahassee, FL
The Pyramid Players have a mystery to solve and they need you to help close the case!

On Saturday, August 16, The Pyramid Players will once again thrill theater-lovers of all ages when they present the original musical performance of "The Great Diamond Caper" at The Moon, 1105 E. Lafayette Street. "The Great Diamond Caper" is a musical mystery, 1930’s film noir style, with a good dose of comedy, a few unexpected twists and a whole lot of “whodunit” thrown in for good measure!
The Players are comprised of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities whose true abilities shine through on stage. The cast is hardworking, committed and talented.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with an art show, silent auction, raffle and reception. The Pyramid Rock Band will provide pre-show entertainment at 6:15! Curtain is at 7. Be sure to come early because our crowd of over 1,000 last year made it a standing-room-only event and we expect the same this year. Early arrivals will get seat savers so they can browse the artwork at their leisure!

Please join The Pyramid Players on Saturday, August 16 for a night of truly wonderful community theatre with "The Great Diamond Caper". We'll see you there!

This is one of the funniest and most heartwarming plays to ever take the stage. The play was also made into a very popular movie in 1981 which won Academy Awards for Henry Fonda and Katherine Fonda. ‘On Golden Pond’ begins with the arrival of an old, long-married couple to their lakeside cottage where they have summered for 44 years. They are estranged from their only daughter, Chelsea, who comes to the cottage to celebrate her father’s 80th birthday. Chelsea announces that she and her new boyfriend are taking a trip to Europe and ask the old couple to watch the man’s teenaged son why they are gone. Ethel and Norman agree and the experience teaches the old man how to trust and communicate with his daughter. ‘On Golden Pond’ will be presented on Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th at 7:30pm and on Sunday, March 30th at 2:30pm. Advanced tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for Seniors/Students and are on sale at Miss Myrts and Center Drugs in Cairo. All tickets at the door will be $12.
