The 6-week Grief Support Group support is for anyone who is grieving the death of a loved one. These services are available to anyone in the community, free of charge. The session is from September 11th - October 16th.

Our worship and fellowship will be filled with prayers, praise, song, and dance! This conference is exceptional, because the primary focus is to address and discuss real issues, real concerns of real women and young girls. We will have numerous testimonies from women who have overcome physical, mental, and sexual abuse, divorce, financial struggles, rejection, and etc. Additionally, we have scheduled anointed motivational speakers that will speak life into any painful situation by the Spirit of God. We are expecting a high-time in the Lord!

Guardian ad Litem Volunteer Training

Guardians ad Litem are citizens who volunteer to represent children before the court, social service agencies, and the community. Volunteers are trained and supervised by program staff, including attorneys. On average, Guardians ad Litem devote approximately 8-10 hours a month and create relationships that can make a huge impact on children’s lives. To become a guardian ad litem, you must be at least twenty-one years old and pass a criminal background. Young adults nineteen or twenty years old may become certified and are allowed to work under the guidance of and in partnership with a guardian ad litem twenty-one or above. You must complete a total of 30-hours of pre-service training program to be certified, which includes independent study, classroom training, and field work.

Beautiful handmade and machine sewn fiber artworks are on display at the annual quilt show at the Museum of Florida History. The show is organized by Quilters Unlimited of Tallahassee and is in its 33rd year. Awards are given in various categories, including a yearly “Challenge Quilt” theme. The theme this year is “Starry Starry Night.” Visitors can vote for their favorite quilt, take part in a silent auction, or talk to the quilters in the exhibit.
