LeMoyne Summer Art Camp

8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Early drop off: 7:45 a.m.

LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts
LITERATURE COMES ALIVE! Join LeMoyne this summer as we explore the works of some of the most beloved authors of children’s literature. Each session we will explore a different author’s body of work, and find unique ways to visualize the worlds they created. We will join Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter on an adventure through the briar patch; explore the magical world of Harry Potter as created by J.K. Rowling; go through the wardrobe with C.S. Lewis; visit the
many fantastical lands of Dr. Seuss; find new, unlikely friends with E.B. White; and create our own version of Happily Ever After with the help of Hans Christian Anderson.
Camp is available for students grades K-7th, ages 6-12. Each group will rotate through four classes every day: Decorative Arts, 2-D Arts, 3-D Arts, and Ceramics. The final day of each session, friends and family are invited to join us for an ARTY PARTY from 12:30- 1:30 p.m. to view art created by their camper. Registration starts MARCH 1, 2013; be sure to call ahead and reserve a space!
