Governor Askew to be honored by FSU’s Working Political Program

FSU’s “Working Political Program” will be hosting an event for Florida Governor Ruebin Askew commemorating his final year of teaching at FSU. Students’ in the Master’s in Applied American Politics and Policy program (MAAPP) will be honoring Gov. Askew for encouraging the importance of higher education, and his many years of service to Florida Government.

The MAAPP students are spreading awareness of the importance of higher education as a pathway to employment, in a time when attending college is more relevant than ever. Governor Askew will address students with firsthand accounts of his storied career as a public servant, teacher, and mentor.
