Leon County EMS Car Seat Check Point
2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Corner of Blair Stone Road and Miccosukee Road
Child Passenger Safety Seat Week is September 15-21. Leon County Emergency Medical Services is holding a car seat check point on Thursday, September 19th from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the corner of Blair Stone and Miccosukee Roads. EMS will have our certified child passenger safety technicians available to inspect car seats and provide free hands-on education.
Securing your child properly in size and age appropriate car seats is the most effective thing you can do to protect your child in the event of a crash. Thankfully, the majority of parents today are placing their children in car seats, booster seats and seat belts but according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 3 out of 4 car seats are not used properly.
Join us on Thursday, September 19th and let’s properly secure all children in appropriate car seats, booster seats or seat belts – every trip, every time!
