Dinner at the Square: Join the gang at FEARS – Where not everybody shares your pain

Date(s): 1/14/2014

5:30-7:30 PM

St. John’s Episcopal Church, 211 N. Monroe St, downtown Tallahassee
What if manmade climate change is real AND the social welfare state is doomed? You might say that both of these problems are American "asteroids" that are getting bigger over time and the longer we ignore them. Until we cross the partisan divide and realize that team effort can solve both problems, we're stuck in a do-loop of failure to communicate. Join us for a discussion among friends who disagree and experts on the topics: Dr. Ed Moore, president of Independent Colleges of Florida; and Brian Armstrong, an attorney in the areas of local government and public utilities law. They will be joined by Susan Glickman, Florida Director at Southern Alliance for Clean Energy; and Dr. Randy Holcombe, professor of economics at FSU and senior fellow at the James Madison Institute.
