Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park along with astronomer Bill Nigg will be hosting a daily telescope observation program about sunspots, weather permitting. Participants will use a high powered telescope equipped with solar filters to safely observe the sun. The focus will be on the movement, quantity and development of sunspots over the course of a month. Through these observations we will gain a better understanding of the power of the Earth’s most stable energy supplier. Come join us for this family friendly event. The program is free with your paid park entrance fee. For further information, contact Dr. Julian G Bruce St George Island State Park at (850)927-2111.
