TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – With the launch of a new website, www.celebrationofwomenandgirls.com, PACE Center for Girls and The Oasis Center for Women & Girls today announced tickets and sponsorships are now available for the 7th Annual Celebration of Women & Girls event. This year, the Celebration will be held at The Moon on April 21, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Dancers, singers, and artists from all walks of life are featured performers at this talent showcase, which also offers a silent auction and cuisine from dozens of local restaurants.

“Not only is March Women’s History Month, but it is also #BelievinginGirls Month at PACE where we recognize that before a woman can make history, she is first a girl who is full of potential,” said Kelly Otte, executive director of PACE Center for Girls, Leon. “PACE helps girls unleash their potential so they become the women who make history. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate women this month than to show your support for this unique and fun event featuring women performers of all ages. Last year, the Celebration sold out to more than 250 supporters.”

All proceeds from the event go toward benefiting the programs and services offered at PACE Leon and The Oasis Center. Sponsors include Kia of Tallahassee, Publix Charities, Sunshine Health at the Galaxy Level and the Florida Lottery, Tallahassee-Leon Federal Credit Union, Tiffany Hamilton of Ekk & Hamilton Realty at the Luminary Level. Donations are currently being accepted for food from local restaurants and silent auction items from businesses and community supporters. A full list of performers will be listed on the website in April.

"The Celebration of Women and Girls event is an incredible opportunity to come together to celebrate the rich and diverse talent that women and girls bring to our vibrant community," said Haley Cutler-Seeber, executive director of The Oasis Center for Women & Girls. "Each year, we bring forth new, amazing acts from women performers and we’re continuously wowed by the variety of talent. This is one of my favorite nights of the year. We’re always overwhelmed by the outpouring of people in our community who come out to enjoy the festivities and believe in what we do to improve the lives of women and girls.”
