Apr 26, 2013 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Florida State University’s Strozier Library, 116 Honors Way, Tallahassee, Florida 32306
The Lois Lenski Collection is back. For the first time since 1966, Florida State University’s Lois Lenski Collection will be on exhibit at Strozier Library beginning April 26, 2013, and will remain on display until September. Farms, Fields, and Florida highlights the work of the beloved children’s book author, Lois Lenski, and will be open to FSU students and the public from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Curated and facilitated by the Museum Object class of spring 2013, Farms, Fields, and Florida will display a portion of FSU’s extensive Lois Lenski collection, and focuses on the author’s works pertaining to Florida and the southern region of the United States. Miss Lenski began gifting Florida State University Special Collections with her works in 1958, and the collection has grown ever since. You are invited to explore the life and works of Lois Lenski. Come learn more about the author’s creative process and see how she gave a voice to children across the United States. The exhibition will open with a small reception where light food and beverages will be served. We hope that you will join us in honoring Miss Lenski and her works.
