Record Low Arctic Sea Ice Confirmed

This comes from researchers at the National Snow and Ice Data Center who say that ice is at the lowest levels seen in the past 30-years. Scientists at the center blame rising global temperatures from greenhouse gases and an unusually strong arctic heat wave this past summer. They also say ice has been growing slower in the winter. Satellites have only been monitoring the sea ice since 1979.
