Comet Ripped Up by Solar Storm

NASA scientists just released this video of a solar storm tearing apart the tail of Comet Encke, which was traveling toward the sun on April 20.

Solar storms have been known to disrupt satellite and radio communications on earth, but now there's proof they can shatter comets, too.

Brand new studies also suggest that comets can even affect space weather, including solar winds.
