The Annual Climate Diagnostics and Prediction Workshop has been held for 32 years now. The workshop discussed seasonal hurricane predictions, climate change, and how the climate affects agriculture in the Southeast. A big topic of discussion was La Nina in the Pacific.

Wayne Higgins, the Director of the Climate Prediction Center says, "We're interested in applications in what our users really need in terms of climate forecasts. And of course, here in the Southeast, one of the big issues is how to improve agricultural applications of climate forecasts."

The NOAA climate workshop held today visits one major University accredited in weather each year. This year the conference worked with FSU's Weather department.
