Climate change could be one of the greatest national security risks according to a new report.
The Center for Strategic and International Studies says the United States can expect population migration from within and across its borders because of global warming. It could also cause conflicts in Africa and the Middle East. Some scientists disagree, saying that warming temperatures will have agricultural benefits for some areas that now cannot grow certain types of vegetation. Still, the Office of the National Intelligence Director is working on an assessment of natural security implications from climate change.
