When we recorded the video weather blog, Subtropical Storm Olga did not form yet, but we thought there was a chance it would. It is no threat to the United States mainland, but heavy rain and gusty winds are likely over Hispanola on Tuesday.

A large ridge of high pressure will dominate our local weather through Thursday. It will bring us dry and unusually warm temperatures. The only weather-related hazard will be late night and early morning dense fog and low clouds thanks to a shallow east to southeasterly wind flow from the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.

A cold front is expected to approach us on Friday with a slight chance of showers. The models are hinting at a stronger system affecting us this upcoming weekend, but the jury is still on whether severe weather will occur or just scattered rain showers.
