NASA Shuttle Atlantis Update

The crew aboard Shuttle Atlantis are going to attempt their first space walk on this mission after illness hits one of its astronauts.

The spacewalk to prepare the European Space Agency's Columbus research module for attachment to the station was pushed back from Sunday to today because of an undisclosed medical problem with German astronaut Hans Schlegel. Schlegel trained to perform the first two of the mission's three spacewalks. Instead, he will be replaced on the first excursion by Stan Love. It's not known whether Schlegel can perform the second spacewalk scheduled for Wednesday.
