The first month of this new year has just set a new record. This time it's the amount of snow that blankets the Northern Hemisphere.
The Rutgers University Global Snow Lab says January 2008 just beat out January 1984 for the amount of snow cover compared to average. Their records go all the way back to 1966. This comes on the heels of record snows in the past few weeks over Southern China and even some white stuff in Saudi Arabia and Iraq this past month.
