All power has been restored to the Talquin members affected by the Liberty County Substation.

Talquin Electric has experienced a transformer failure in its Liberty County Substation. Power is expected to be restored by late today. Approximately 1690 members have been without power in the south west portion of Gadsden County and down into the south west portion of Liberty County since early this morning. This also powers the members on Sweetwater water system which serves about 30 members. Multiple crews, substation techs and supervisors have been on site since about 2am to make repairs and restore power as quickly as possible.

Talquin Electric’s Bristol Substation has been without power since early this morning. Currently, the estimated restoral time is early afternoon today. Multiple crews, substation techs and supervisors have been on site since about 2am to due a potentially damaged transformer within the station.

This affects 1690 people in the Bristol area, south west portion of Gadsden County and down into the south west portion of Liberty County.

Power is expected to be restored by late today. more than 1600 residents are without power. The company also powers the members on Sweetwater water system. About 30 members are on this water system.
