Hurricane Isaac Road Advisory Update – Number 9

Chipley – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing an update on road and bridge closures and restrictions in Northwest Florida due to Hurricane Isaac. All rail, airport, transit and seaport facilities are functioning as normal. Scheduled highway maintenance and construction will resume Wednesday, Aug. 29. FDOT has suspended interstate maintenance and construction until further notice.

Escambia County

· Via de Luna Road east of Portfina closed due to flooding.

· Fort Pickens Road at the entrance to Fort Pickens is closed.

Gulf County

· County Road (C.R.) 20 near Wewahitchka is closed from White Drive to Overstreet Road.

· Jarrott Daniels Road near S.R. 22 is closed.

Okaloosa County

· Meigs Drive closed due to water on roadway.

Santa Rosa County

· J.E. Bowden Way (C.R. 399) between Pensacola and Navarre is closed.
