Tallahassee, FL - A freeze warning has been issued for the entire WCTV viewing area (not including coastal counties) overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Temperatures will drop to at or below freezing in many locations. Below freezing temperatures should only last between two and three hours.

Sensitive pets and plants should be brought inside. Freezing temperatures will not last long enough to worry about frozen pipes.

Wednesday morning featured some chilly temperatures across the area. Tallahassee saw a low of 40°, while the temperature dropped to 39° in Valdosta.

Gusty winds lead to cold wind chills, making it feel much colder outside. With winds between 10 and 15 miles per hour, Tallahassee's wind chill dropped to 34° around 7am Wednesday. Around the same time, Valdosta experienced a wind chill of 31° from winds gusting up to 20 miles per hour.

Wind speeds will be much lower Thursday morning.
