TUESDAY...

.NORTHWEST WINDS NEAR ADVISORY LEVELS WILL INCREASE LATER THIS
EVENING WITH THE PASSAGE OF A STRONG COLD FRONT. FREQUENT GUSTS TO
GALE FORCE ARE EXPECTED FOR A PERIOD FROM LATE THIS EVENING INTO
THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF TUESDAY. THESE STRONG WINDS WILL RESULT
IN VERY ROUGH SEAS OVER THE NORTHEAST GULF OF MEXICO. WINDS AND
SEAS WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT AS STRONG
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE REGION.

ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING.

* WINDS...NORTH 20 TO 25 KNOTS...INCREASING TO 25 TO 30 KNOTS WITH
GUSTS BETWEEN 35 TO 40 KNOTS OVERNIGHT.

* SEAS...BUILDING TO 5 TO 8 FEET OVERNIGHT NEARSHORE...AND
BUILDING TO 8 TO 10 FEET OFFSHORE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OR FREQUENT WIND GUSTS OF 34 TO 47
KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE
CONDITIONS REQUIRES EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT
IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE
SEEK SAFE HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 20 TO 33 KNOTS...
AND/OR SEAS 7 FEET OR HIGHER...ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HAZARDOUS
WAVE CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
