An area of rain and thunderstorms is expected to move into the area late Thursday and exit Friday morning. A cold front will move our direction on Thursday, with a developing area of showers and possibly a few strong thunderstorms. The overall threat of severe weather is classified as "slight". While is is possible for an isolated tornado or two to develop in the region, the main threat (albeit "slight") is that of damaging thunderstorm winds. The good news is that beneficial rainfall will also move through the area - averaging about 1-2".
