-Power has been restored to around 3,500 City customers. Crews will continue to respond to outages through the evening.
[UPDATE] July 17, 2012- 5:00pm
Currently approximately 4,500 City customers are without power. Major outages are being reported in the northwestern and eastern areas of the city, with scattered smaller outages being reported throughout the city. Crews are responding to outages. Earlier outages in the southwest area of the city have been repaired and those customers have been restored.
City of Tallahassee Electric Utility customers may report outages by calling 891-4YOU (4968).
Traffic Signals Impacted:
Due to power outages, several traffic signals are affected. Some signals on the following roads are currently not operating: Mission Rd., Hartsfield Rd., Old Bainbridge Rd., Woodville Hwy. and the Apalachee Parkway/Connor Blvd. intersection.
Motorists should approach intersections where signals are out with extreme caution and treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

Report of penny size hail in Woodville
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has closed a portion of Waukeenah Highway because a live power line and tree are blocking the road. The 8400 block of Waukeenah Hwy is shut down and drivers are being detoured. Deputies expect it to stay closed for at least another hour until the power company can remove the power line.
