A FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IS IN EFFECT ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON FOR OUR FLORIDA ZONES MAINLY ALONG AND NORTH OF THE I-10 CORRIDOR DUE POTENTIAL LONG DURATIONS OF LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY COMBINED
WITH HIGH ERC VALUES...

.THE HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE REGION FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF MORE DAYS...LEADING TO RED FLAG CONCERNS ACROSS PARTS OF THE TRI-STATE AREA. FOR TODAY...RED FLAG CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS ALL OF THE INTERIOR OF THE FLORIDA BIG BEND AND PANHANDLE DUE TO LONG DURATIONS OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY
BELOW 35 PERCENT AND DISPERSIONS ABOVE 75. ALSO...HAVE ISSUED A NEW RED FLAG WARNING FOR SOUTHEAST ALABAMA FOR THIS AFTERNOON...DUE TO EXPECTED LONG DURATIONS OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY BELOW 30 PERCENT...A KBDI READING GREATER THAN 500...AND 20 FOOT WIND SPEEDS AT 10 MPH OR GREATER. FOR FRIDAY...NO CONCERNS ARE EXPECTED
OVER SOUTHEAST ALABAMA...BUT PARTS OF THE BIG BEND AND PANHANDLE MAY REACH CRITICAL THRESHOLDS ONCE AGAIN. THEREFORE...WILL LEAVE THE CURRENT FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN PLACE.
