Live Oak, Florida - July 4, 2012 -
Tropical Storm Debby has caused massive damage to homes and vehicles. Resident who have cars as small as Smart Cars or as big as trucks have been destroyed by flood waters.
Ever since Tropical Storm Debby hit the area, residents in Live Oak have been sending in some compelling photos of the flood damage. It has been difficult for small cars to maneuver through the heavily flooded roads in Suwannee County.. A local resident's car was halfway submerged in water last week. They were driving a Smart Car. It happened on Railroad Avenue just south of Helvenston Street. A local business owner says waves from a passing truck ended up washing the car into a water filled ditch. A tow truck recently came by to rescue the stranded vehicle. Other vehicles are still submerged in deep flood waters at this time.
