FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM OPHELIA...LOCATED ABOUT 1165 MILES EAST OF THE LEEWARD
ISLANDS.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH A SMALL AREA OF
LOW PRESSURE LOCATED NEAR THE VIRGIN ISLANDS IS CURRENTLY MINIMAL.
SURFACE PRESSURES ARE NOT FALLING IN THE AREA...AND UPPER-LEVEL
WINDS ARE NOT CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW
CHANCE...NEAR 0 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES GENERALLY WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 15 TO 20
MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
