Missing 73-year-old Cairo man located in Florida

CAIRO, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Cairo Police Department has located a missing 73-year-old man.

CPD says Earnest Lee Miles was located in Live Oak, Florida Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say he is well, but disoriented, and family members are on their way to pick him up.

CAIRO, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Cairo Police Department is looking for a missing 73-year-old man.

Earnest Lee Miles, of Cairo, was last heard from around 5 p.m. Monday.

Police say he called his wife to tell her he was on his way home from Lake City but never arrived.

Family members tell police that he has been increasingly forgetful and has been displaying early signs of dementia. Miles left his cell phone in Cairo and has no means of communication.

Miles is a black male, 5'10" tall, approximately 160 pounds, with a thin build, a shaved head and a thin mustache. Miles has a small visible scar on the back of his neck, approximately 2" long.

He is believed to be traveling in a faded silver 1999 Nissan Sentra with Georgia handicapped tag of 'PD52F8.'

Anyone with information concerning Earnest Miles should contact the Cairo Police Department at (229) 377-7381 or (229) 378-3096. After normal business hours, contact Grady County 911 dispatch at (229) 248-3000. If someone spots Miles or his vehicle, they should immediately call 911 and advise the dispatcher that they have spotted a missing person from Cairo, Georgia.
