HAHIRA, Ga. (WCTV) -- A Hahira man has been sentenced for his role in an attempted bombing plot.

Clinton Scott Bass, 34, was sentenced on Wednesday to 120 months in prison.

The U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia reports that in March 2017, Bass solicited online and paid for what he thought was a mail bomb.

Officials say Bass attempted to arm the bomb before delivering it to the doorstep of his intended target.

The attack was prevented and no one was injured.

Bass received the maximum sentence for attempting to receive and transport explosive materials with intent to kill, injure or intimidate.
