TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Former Madison County and Georgia Southern linebacker Ironhead Gallon is preparing for his first NFL training camp with the Arizona Cardinals.
The Madison, Florida native went undrafted in this past year's NFL Draft, but signed a rookie free agent contract with the Cardinals.
A linebacker with the Eagles, Gallon transitioned to the position from playing safety in high school. Gallon said the Cardinals have told him they want to use him as a safety or on special teams units.
He also said he's ready to "Take advantage of my opportunity. I have been blessed to go out there and compete. I'm ready to finally put the pads on for training camp, so my goal is to go out there and show what I can do with them."
Gallon will report to Arizona on July 20.
