Three arrested after dragging Georgia officer during chase

MARIETTA, GA (CBS) -- Three men are facing several charges for their alleged involvement in dragging a police officer down a roadway for nearly a mile.

Cory Moody, 28, is charged with kidnapping, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony offense, willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer, violation of traffic control device, marijuana possession, obstruction of an intersection, and simple battery.

Eyzaiya Moody, 24, is facing charges for fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony, kidnapping, willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer, marijuana possession, and possession of firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.

The third suspect Walter Kearney Gadson, Jr., 23, is facing charges for fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony offense, simple battery, willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and felony kidnapping.

On Thursday morning a Marietta Police officer was pushed out into traffic and another was dragged down the roadway for nearly a mile a vehicle while both were trying to conduct a traffic stop that led to the discovery of multiple handguns.

The incident happened Delk Road near Franklin Gateway in Marietta.

Neither of the officers were injured.
