HOMERVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- Clinch County head coach Jim Dickerson has a saying: Teams that play in December are ones to remember.

Two years ago, the Panthers won it all, and last year, they advanced to the state semifinals.

Clinch County will be a favorite once again this year among the Class A Public Schools with several key starters returning.

As much pressure as the athletes might feel, Coach Dickerson will tell you the kids have been groomed to be Panthers since middle school.

"Here, there's an expectation, and it starts in middle school. The level we expect to be is to be playing in November, and possibly, in December."
