A south Georgia Food Bank is booming with clients, but not donations.

Officials with the Thomas County Food Bank and Outreach Center say hundreds of families come into the shelter every week for food.

They say typically they see more people come out during the holiday season, but this year, the numbers keep going up with each passing month.

"There's so many people that are out of work and we serve about 225 families a week so that tells us a lot. There's a lot of people that are out of work and they do need our help," Dorothy Pauwals with the Thomas County Food Bank, said.

Officials say they do have a steady amount of donations coming in from the community, but it's never as much as the number of families that need food.

They say they are always looking for food or monetary donations.
