Valdosta Library Sees Membership Increase
While many libraries around Florida struggle, one south Georgia library says its had to upgrade its materials.

The Valdosta-Lowndes County public library added $20,000 in books and media to its collection, and improved its public computers.
A group called the Friends of the Library makes sure the library gets the support it needs.
Last year, about 10,000 new members signed up for library cards.
"I come to the library because I'm unemployed," said Margaret Moore, who lives in Valdosta. "And it's such a peaceful place. I find it relaxing. And it rejuvenates me."
The Valdosta library has outgrown its current location.
Next week, its board of trustees will meet to discuss relocating to a bigger space.
