The college bars that line Baytree Place in Remerton expect to be packed, even though VSU students are on spring break.

Preparation includes opening early, closing late and keeping the green beer flowing.

Bar owners say they're making sure their liquid magic is in place.

"Enough alcohol for all of our customers that come in here," said Doobie Brewer, the co-owner of Blazer's Tavern. "So they have a great time and we don't run out of what they want to drink."

Some visitors even came from out of town.

"We're up by 6 a.m. having green eggs, scrambled eggs, bloody marys," said John Conley, from St. Louis, Missouri.

The bars along Baytree Place will be swinging until 2 a.m.
