Smith Northview's St Pattys Blood Drive
One south Georgia Hospital is spending St. Patty's Day giving back to the community.

Smith Northview Hospital's blood drive caravan is parked on its doorstep for anyone who chose to give blood today.
Their goal... to generate 50 units, which hospital administrators say will be gone within 48 hours because there's a shortage.
For some, donating blood runs in the family.
"My father did it for years and years," said Chuck Roberts, the director of business development for Smith Northview Hospital. "And it's kind of been a tradition. It's something I felt is a need and it's a simple way for me to take a few minutes out of my day to give back."
Smith Northview Hospital's next blood drive will be May 14.
A person can give blood every 56 days.
