The Brooks county sheriff's office just purchased two K-9's to add to its force.
The dogs, Ike and Zac were bought with money from the county's drug seizure fund.
In the past, the sheriff's office had to request help from Lowndes County and surrounding departments if they needed dogs for a case.
Now they can use their own to take a bite out of crime.
Brooks County sheriff Mike Dewey said, "It will make the war on drugs a little bit easier to where we can get more drugs off the street."
Zac is ranked the 8th best K-9 in the country by the United States Police K-9 Association.
