The Parks at Chehaw is pleased to host Dreamnight at the Zoo in partnership with the Georgia Department of Labor Vocational Rehabilitation Program on May 3rd from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. This free event is by invitation only for special needs children and chronically ill children.. The Parks at Chehaw is expecting between 250-300 guests for this special evening.
Because the event is free, The Parks at Chehaw has relied heavily on the goodwill of staff, volunteers and local agencies to help put on this event. “Our VIP’s can expect visits from special guests including the Mayor, school board officials, city, commissioners, and more,” states Special Events Coordinator, Sherrell Byrd. “Each guest entering the Zoo on this evening will receive a special gift bag full of goodies. The Children and their families will enjoy an evening of food, music, animal programs, behind the scene tours and much more.”
Dream night is an event which started in Holland at the Rotterdam Zoo in 1996. Dream night has spread to over 100 zoos across the world. The Parks at Chehaw is proud to be among the zoos and aquariums worldwide that host this special event. Sponsored by Southern Linc Wireless and Chehaw BMX.
